Weekend fun

Mar

I went home wet and late yesterday after having dinner, watching movie, and drinking coffee. It’s one of the girls’ birthday that’s why she treated everyone for dinner. Over dinner, they started talking about the pressure at work. I told them, we should start talk light. It will just make the evening’s atmosphere heavy. Work had been very stressful lately and we are just so thankful for a night out. Then we started talking about the latest news around the world, hollywood celebrities and the blog world.

After dinner, since it was still early, we decided to watch a comedy movie. After, we had coffee, chat a little and got ready to go home. It was a fun evening. Then, while, we were waiting for a taxi, the rain poured. And what do you expect when it’s raining; it’s bloody hard to get a cab. So, I needed to be soaked first before finding a ride home. My mom was so worried when she saw me. Of all the days, why would I forget to bring an umbrella? I immediately took a hot shower and changed into something comfortable. My mom prepared hot chocolate for me to sip. I was so cold that night. I am just praying I will not get any fever or colds the next few days.

Boss’ Birthday

We were all invited to attend a formal dinner party of the company’s president. Friends, relatives and company employees were guests. It was quite amazing because we saw some celebrities both in politics and showbiz and high profile people. When it’s time for his speech we were all thanked by him mentioning our respective departments and we were surprised that he knows all our names in our department. He was thanking us for our personalized gift for him. It was a big deal for us about his mentioning of our names because of all the many employees working under him, it’s amazing that he can still remember our faces. Even how small your job is at the company, he cares about you. That is why a lot of us like him as the one managing the company. He knows how important each and everyone.

Everyday Shopping

My sister learned that online shopping is better especially when you are too busy or too lazy to go out and go to the shopping malls. She is not busy, just lazy to go out one Saturday when she tried buying stuff online. She was happy when she received the things she bought. From then on, she would open her computer and start looking for daily deals and stuff that she likes. Then she developed the habit of everyday shopping for everyone. On Mondays, she shops for herself, Tuesdays for my mom, Wednesdays for my dad, and so on. But she shop for one item for a day that is why everyday, our doorbell rings for her purchased items. LOL! It’s her habit now and I don’t think wants to stop. She enjoys buying us stuff. I just hope she will not be broke with her habit.
