Cabin

My other aunt informed us that she will be moving in her cabin near the woods next month. She has sold her old house and that she wanted to live simply. After my uncle died, she decided to live a simpler life near the woods where he can tend her vegetable garden. I used to accompany her to sleep in her cabin on weekends. I like the comfort inside. The rustic furniture, the smell of wood and the fireplace give a comfortable and safe feeling. It’s like coming home. Anyway, she called me up this morning to ask me if I have time because she needs a hand in moving to her cabin. I immediately said yes and cleared my schedule for the weekend. I look forward to be spending many weekends with her.

Good night

Tonight is spent indoor with my laptop on, surfing, searching then writing this post before going to bed. Good thing my internet connection was fine.

The sky was clear as the sun rose early this morning today. I went to work expecting for a beautiful warm day. I even planned for a badminton game with my nephews at the park after dinner. I was expecting that the sun sets will be late. My nephews even called me up at lunch if we will push through with our badminton plans and I said yes.

But at around four in the afternoon, the clouds suddenly turned thick and dark. It looked like there is a heavy rain coming. So I called my sister’s home to ask if the twins were already home and told them that we should cancel the planned badminton game because of possible heavy rain tonight. Then, it started to rain about half past five in the afternoon I was actually soaking wet when I got home because I don’t have an umbrella with me. I am just hoping I won’t catch cold because of that.

Aunt’s Trips

After my dad carried my aunt’s Rimowa luggage in the car trunk, we were all ready to go. Earlier this afternoon was my aunt’s flight to UK. Her eldest son invited her to UK trip and in order to see her grandchildren. My aunt had been living with us since my uncle died. Her other children are all married and all living abroad. Once in a year, my aunt would visit them one at a time. So she goes on trips every four months. She enjoys her trips but often times, she would wish that her children are not that far fro her. That is why at home we are making sure she is taken care of to at least forget how much she misses her own family.
