Aging Gracefully

I was the one who put make up on my mom last night. She and my dad attended a formal party at their friend’s house. My mom was asking my opinion whether she is now badly in need of the best wrinkle cream for her face, because the lines are now really visible on her face. I told she can apply one if she really wants to. She does not really look that old, I guess it’s good when you age gracefully. You don’t need to get a career of putting too many products on your body. Just maintain a healthy lifestyle.

My mom was asking me if my dermatologist offers treatment for wrinkles. Her friend wants to let her wrinkles treated. She thinks that her husband is cheating on her. LOL! My mom’s friend says she needed to o look younger then she will soon divorce her husband. How sad. Anyway, I thought my mom wants the service. I was surprised when she asked me about it -knowing that she is not that vain about herself. LOL!
Older, Better, Wiser

I will be celebrating my 40th birthday next month and I am pretty sure my friends who are all tease would be giving gift certificates again, for anti aging products. It’s their way of reminding me that I am getting old -though I would rather say I am getting better and wiser. LOL! Life begins at forty they say but I do not believe that. Life actually began when I started to be independent –when I stood on my own feet and tried to get everything done by myself. I was separated from my parents at a very young age. They sent me to get my secondary education in the city and I had to live on my own. I had so many unforgettable experiences that made me mature early. It was good because I become a better person everyday from then on.
