Not Prim and Proper

My dad called me in the office just to ask my mom’s mobile number. He said he can not call her because he forget her number. He is looking for his old tuxedo. My brother is at home asking if my dad can let him borrow one of my dad’s formal attires. He needs to attend a formal party and knowing him; he doesn’t want prim and proper stuff. LOL! He is more on extreme/rock stuff. I wonder what the formal party he will be attending. I hope it’s not about a girl again. LOL!
Teaching and Inspiring

My mom, a retired teacher for more than thirty years had been invited as one of guess speakers in a local school’s teacher’s convention. She was uneasy yesterday as she was searching for a nice dress that she will wear in the convention. While, putting on some clothes and matching them with her clarks shoes then showing me how she looks, I was finishing her power point presentation and her speech. I had to have a deep research on the topic she will be presenting during the convention. It’s about inspiring and boosting the morale of the teacher. I guess it’s just right that she will be the one to deliver such an inspiring talk –having that many years of teaching struggles and success. With the things that I have researched about teachers, I am more inspired by them. I wish my mom could deliver her talk to non-teachers as well so that we all can appreciate the people who had chosen the most humbling profession on earth -that is to live to teach and to inspire!
Accounting Principles

My superior had a short seminar on accounting for revenue and expenses and gift certificates yesterday. It’s the company’s first time to launch promotional items to boost sales. We are giving some premiums on selected products and we needed an accurate method in accounting for these items. It was good that my superior is re-echoing what he learned from the seminar. I hope we can be more updated when it comes to accounting principles.
Management Conference

My dad came home this afternoon very excited. He said he and hi staff are invited to the annual management conference where in top executives of the top local companies will also attend. It’s a three day affair where in they attend talks, share business ideas, and formal cocktails He told my mom he is definitely wearing his new tuxedo pants on the last day! I am so proud of my dad. The fact that he is invited is a sign that his business and his management skills are something to the local business. I wish I could go with him!

My sister rushed home yesterday just to tell my dad that some stores at the mall are having 50% off with their laptop deals. Wow! My sister had been singing to my dad to buy her a netbook. I think my dad will be giving in this time. He told my sister to stay put because he is waiting for his client to pay him with his dues. My sister can’t wait. I have been teasing my sister to treat me for coffee because she is so close to her dream. LOL! I hope 50% off is still on when they get the money.
